GCDS
GCDS of Milan, Italy, promotes "culture-wear" over "streetwear" and is made locally yet born internationally. GCDS is a self-described anti-label run by co-founder brothers Giuliano and Giordano Calza, who serve as the brand's creative director and CEO, respectively. Its clearly "street" sensibility has followed certain artistic codes from the start, only to eventually break them. It aims to reach kids of all hues – including the young at heart – in this age of global connection without ever instructing them what to do or think. Since its inception in 2015, the GCDS community has grown to include global pop sensations and national treasures (as well as the icons of the future, due to a brand-new kids' line). Meanwhile, its production methods have remained unchanged: from the street to the factory.
